This Privacy Policy explains how Loop ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use loopnetworking.com and the Loop application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your resume or email content to train third-party AI models.
We share data only with:
We use strictly-necessary cookies for session authentication and CSRF protection. You can block cookies in your browser, but the Service may not function correctly without them. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We keep your account data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days, except information we must retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Deleted resumes and drafts are purged within 7 days.
We hash passwords with bcrypt, serve all traffic over HTTPS, use CSRF tokens, and restrict internal access. No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@loopnetworking.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK (GDPR): Our lawful basis is contract performance (to deliver the Service) and legitimate interest (to improve and secure it). You may withdraw consent, lodge a complaint with your local DPA, or request data portability.
Loop is a consumer (B2C) tool that students use voluntarily on their own. We do not receive student education records from any school, and we do not pull data from Handshake, college SSO, or any school-provided system. Every piece of information in Loop — your resume, profile, target firms, drafts, and outreach history — is provided directly by you, the individual student user, and stored under your own account.
Because Loop is not contracted by any school to provide an educational service, FERPA's restrictions on "education records" do not apply to data you upload yourself. If Loop ever offers a B2B product to schools or career-services offices, we will execute a Data Processing Addendum with the institution and operate as a "school official" under FERPA's legitimate-educational-interest exception, with all the access, audit, and re-disclosure controls FERPA requires.
You retain full control over your data at all times. You can request export or deletion by emailing support@loopnetworking.com, and we will respond within 30 days.
Loop is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Loop is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses where applicable.
We may update this Policy. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice.
